Good Living is a subscriber-exclusive reward card initiative of Gulf News, a leading newspaper in the Gulf.
Good Living members can take advantage of special privileges and offers with shopping, dining and lifestyle partners across the UAE.
Previously distributed in the form of a printed book, Good Living required a new website that would take the service to a new level, in the form of an engaging, online subscriber rewards experience.
Good Living required a website that would streamline hundreds of dining, retail, leisure and lifestyle offers that could be browsed, printed and redeemed by the subscriber.
We proposed a design for the new site, and the creation of a unique user experience for Good Living members.
The overall design was based on the Good Living brand guidelines. We designed the site to optimize discovery and exposure of offers and special online promotions.
Toward a user-centric experience, we created a search function that asks the user, 'What would you like to do today?' Members can search for anything they desire, but also apply filters for more relevant results.
The site further allows users to browse all offers manually by category, and explore each section in detail.
Offers are listed under four main categories: Savour (fine dining), Taste (casual dining), Shop (retail offers), and Unwind (leisure and lifestyle).
Users can search by keyword, category, cuisine or price. After searching or browsing offers on the Good Living site, members can print and redeem the offers at the relevant various outlet – a restaurant, shop or event.
The offers are exclusive to subscribers of the newspaper and come with a physical membership card. Additional subscriber-exclusive offers are promoted and can be purchased via the site.
Working closely with the Gulf News online team, we defined the user journeys, application requirements and required steps for the web application.
We created wireframes and flowcharts, the design of the website and detail design of all pages, Magento (e-commerce) theme tweaks, notification emails, and online vouchers.
We completed all work to strict HTML and CSS requirements so that the Good Living site could be easily integrated with the client's existing systems.
The Result
An impressively user-friendly site that has strengthened the brand image and will ensure that Gulf News readers feel truly rewarded.
