Smart Dubai is a Governmental initiative aiming to transform Dubai into the world's smartest and happiest city. To better engage with the target audience Smart Dubai has appointed Prototype to redesign its website and restructure the overarching information architecture, including other websites such as Smart Dubai Global Network.
The smart cities concept is relatively new, and Smart Dubai needed a website that could effectively help visitors understand what the mission and goals of the various initiatives are. To illustrate this better, we created animated graphics that would grab the attention of visitors, and interactively explained different Smart City concepts. By applying the principles of co-creation, our design team worked onsite with the Smart Dubai team for several weeks to collaborate on design ideas.
The main objective was to create an online presence that shows Smart Dubai's initiatives to a global audience.
